I think there are a couple other things we didn't take into account, based on the premise that stat gain is most effective under 75%.
The amount you eat of a particular food lowers it's effectiveness in filling you up. I don't know how low this can go. I'm on an only berries diet and they currently only heal 9% hunger (I've also finally got some stat rise out of them).
Meditation at least doubles the effect of time on hunger decline. It seems like it's more than double.
So if the lower boundary for a foods ability to heal hunger is 1% each (it's probably more I'm just using 1% as an ideal). That would mean you could eat 25 foods from 50-75% hunger. Add in the damage to hunger from meditation and you can eat 28.
This would make sense in how sharing events on other servers may have worked. Everyone eats only one type of food. They all use meditation. After 30 foods they wait for their hunger to go back to 50% and do it again.
I don't know that this is how it works, it just makes a bit more sense to me than violently scarfing down everything and getting stats.
