In reference to bought and sold in MMO terms... Started as being "Owned" as in killed easily- and from mispellings and key log error turned into Pwned - P is Next to O.... lol. Now it has its own life as a saying for bought and sold for cheap- meaning really owned.. initially in use with PVP games where you "own" an opponent...
