I agree with what you say, but when one first enters the world of Mabinogi and joins a forum such as Guru and Player, there are not as many experienced players as there are at World. And out of those who have experience, you do stand out as one of the most active posters, therefore it is only natural that one would look in awe, since the difference is so great. Surely, people are reading, learning, and figuring out tricks of this game, as you said mentioned, but newcomers (which I suppose I actually still am, idk <<) will see that there are some that stand out...
Ok, I lost myself, I was playing Mabi while typing this ><
I feel really bad for not being able to add input about any guide which is useful to me, seeing as I'm learning something new, and I obviously can't even argue about something I don't know about. The solution? I need to learn more. The easiest way to do this is to read guides and then practice them (duh?). But that brings me back to the beginning of the paragraph; how do I respond?
Should I just say thanks? Or just ignore it? Ideally input would be great, but since I don't always have something important to add, it gets annoying. To who? Well, I suppose the guide writers, but also to me since I feel like I'm not contributing anything. Some guide writers expect something like "thanks" while others don't. Some get offended when there are hundreds of views and no "thanks" while others don't. Some get offended when people put "thanks" because they're like spam posts. I'm always hesitant when responding because of this, and I guess the thing I've always ended up putting is "thanks." There's nothing more I can put, until I learn more about the game.
Edit: Woops, I think I may have strayed off topic there, meh =\
