Well, Fine leathers seem to be more valuable than finest leathers. But then again, I found finest, not fine.
But at Rank 5, the reqs are:

* Effects: Can cut leathers and weave
Make a tough band. 1.00 50 50.00 (?)
Make a finest fabric. 0.05 300 15.00
Make a fine fabric. 0.03 500 15.00
Make a finest silk. 0.40 100 40.00
Make a fine silk. 0.07 300 21.00
Make a fine leather strap. 0.30 300 90.00
Credit to Mabiworld wiki. So, it's gonna be way more worthwhile if you do it then. But as for the leathers, I suggest Kobolds and maybe goblins. Do trolls drop em?
