I see it as a way of saying "Thank you" for coming out to help me.
That person that fits the ideal don't have to come and help you.
(And you can "attempt" to do it yourself, lol)
To me, expecting a stranger to help you with ideals without paying is like going to a restaurant and not tipping to waiter (or waitress).
