Vocaloid
While they may not have an anime per say (There is a Manga released monthly now), they are super popular.
Vocaloid is a computer program series by Crypton. There's a long list of the characters that make this series up, so here I go... VOCALOID
VOCALOID2
Vocaloid2 is the newest set of the dear vitual singers. Lesse... Sweet Ann is intended for english songs... Prima is for opera (She's a UK (As well as JP) Vocaloid). Just about every other one is Japanese as far as I know. Searching Hatsune Miku on YouTube will give A LOT of results. She's super popular. Her best song / most popular / most well known song is "Melt" (Written as "メルト"), which has been resung be real people multiple times. OSTER Project and LiveTune are the best of those who write/compose Miku songs. So if you see a song by them, it's probably super amazing. Soyeah, anyone besides me love them to death? xD (And BTW, if you didn't already know, that's Miku in my sig. =3)

I do think Vocaloid is an interesting program, people have made some pretty convincing stuff with it (my favorite would be Aria di Mezzo Carattere from FF6.
 ) I think the characters are cute too. ^^

So is it a music replication program? Or is it more DDR like? *searching online for it, google hates me* Any info on it would be lovely. ^_^
EDIT: Anyone have a torrent for this? EDIT2: Found a Miku torrent(japanese singer) Just need an english singer now.
