I actually like it, it gives something different from the other anime characters...

Her voice doesn't sound that well suited for her when I first started watching it but then at around ep 4? I realized it actually fit with her character. A standard female voice wouldn't fit for the setting (with all the gothic-ish stuff like the sun).

The 13th episode is out and I just watched it yestarday, the plot seems to be developing nicely

I already saw the manga version, i watched ep13 as well yesterday. They're starting to stray away from each other a bit such as in the manga Maka uses Subaki for a while but in the anime she never did.

dam you Funimaton, i used to watch Soul Eater in AC but now they cant post it and finding the episodes is gonna be really hard now

that's what AC is, japanese with eng subs o-o they posted about that and that they had to remove it. when i looked elsewhere like veoh, spammed with videos saying "your video is at blahblah" and that website has no videos :x
