Bloody animes.

What are some bloody animes that you've watched? Were they tasteful, or was it just chaotic and disgusting to watch?

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni is one of those animes that's just a bit too bloody, but the way the anime progresses somewhat needs it. I swear though, the laughing in the anime adds more of a creepyness element to me.

Elfen Lied is also one of those bloody animes, but to me, I find it somewhat a bit more tasteful than Higurashi. It has more of a set storyline and gives more background information on the characters that gives a bit of reason to why there's a quite a bit of violence.

Aaaaand... School Days. Based on an H-Game (as I recall), this didn't really get too bloody until the end (from what I've seen), because of the 'love' problems in the anime. Although it's not that graphic, what happens at the VERY END is just a little creepy! I believe there's actually more violence within the whole School Days thing, but it's more so in the game than the anime.

Elfen Lied is the best "bloody" anime I've watched so far.
Can't say I liked any other, though (especially not gantz).

I haven't watched HnNK, most people told me it's pretty good but I'm lazy =P
Maybe I should download it :/

I think Elfen Lied is one of the better animes because it has a storyline, regardless of the violence in it. (: And Higurashi was actually pretty hard to follow, at least, where I watched it from it was. Episodes were hard to keep track of since there didn't seem like there was a set story, only a curse.

I think you can consider Claymore also bloody, have you seen that one?

School Days for sure... except it was only one episode... The rest were okay...

Tsuki Hime was also very gorey-ish... I don't remember much about it but the first couple of eps were really nasty. Nasty as in body parts related @_@
