The movie's catchphrase "This is your brain on anime." is... truly the best description for this movie. With 4 awards and 2 nominations, Paprika is one of the biggest Anime movie hits to arrive in the USA.

Somewhere in the near future, a new psychotherapy treatment device, called the "DC Mini" is invented. This device allows a person to enter another's dream to explore a person's unconscious thoughts. Doctor Atsuko Chiba begin to use this device secretly to treat patients using her more lively alter ego "Paprika".

Before the project is fully completed, one of the prototypes are stolen. Because it was unfinished, the DC Mini did not have any restrictions to it. The device allowed anyone to enter another's dream, cause confusion between reality and dreams, and escape from any crime they may commit. Their only hope is for Paprika to investigate and retrieve the device before the entire world is engulfed into the world of dreams.

**One thing to specifically watch out for when watching this movie is to make sure you don't take everything you see as "reality". There will be many scenes that you may think is in the real world, but in actuality, is still just a dream.**
