I'm guessing that what's going to happen in 2012 is the same thing that happened on the y2k bug craze.

I did not agree with this prediction. I know this date comes from the Mayan calendar, which many believe says that the end of time is 2012. This is an incorrect interpretation of the Mayan perception of time. It is the end of an age in 2012. The Mayans had a 52 year cycle, much like we have a 100 year cycle. The date of 2012 is the end of one age, and the beginning of another.

But. It takes 2,150 Years for an Age to end.
The next Age, that of Aquarius...Won't start until 2150.

Our current Age is that of the Pisces...
Anthropomorphized as a Fish...Which is why there are so many Fish references in the Bible. Because Jesus' age began in 1 AD. And, before that was Moses' Age. Which was that of the Taurus.

But, anyway.

Better doomsday theories have tried to predict the end of the world...

This is just another of those things that are based off astrology, and astrology is all just man's attempt to predict the future through the positions of stars and constellations... Which makes no sense if you think about it, how exactly do large, luminous masses of hydrogen tell the future?

It was funny, in those videos...How they defamed the one prophet who was "postdicting" things that happened. Then they show that computer program that is also "postdicting" things that happened. Yet, they say that the computer could be right. That's just retarded.

World isn't ending, unless we want it to.
Does the majority of people on the planet want it to end? Doubt it, unless there's way more emo kids than i expected.

We'll surely have some hard times, especially economical, and probably cnflicts between countries, but when hasn't there been?

The only thing to worry about is (forgot the exact term for it) when the magnetic poles of the planet change, which will screw up lots of natural things such as animals navigation, perhaps weather, and maybe even the magnetic field around the earth that protects us from radiation.

And i'm not saying any of that is scheduled for 2012.
It's just gonna happen whenever, in the very near future. Scientists in the appropriate field can probably give you an estimate for the magnetic pole change.
