Hey Mabiguru, how are all of ya doing? I have to tell you guys something that I only just recently raised enough courage to tell you this:

As you may have realized by now, I have lied to you. 2 weeks ago, I posted a thread saying that I would be getting the internet on that week, because that week, my dad received a notice that he'll get his stimulus check sometime that week. The thing is, my dad actually got it on that day, but instead of using it to pay for the internet, he used it to pay off $850 worth of electricity bills. In fact, when I came "back from the dead" on those weekends, it was actually me going to my dad's work to shower and spend some time on the internet.

The only reason I lied was because I thought I could get away with it, and not embarrass myself my telling you that. My dad didn't want to pay for our $250 cable bill after dropping the $850 on the electricity bill on that Monday. And my dad only gets paid every other week, and that week my dad received his paycheck, so I thought he would get the internet back.

As such, I've been lurking on Mabiguru, instead of being an active member of it. This was mostly due to the shame in my self.

All I can say is, I am sorry. I am truly sorry for just out-right lying to all of you just so you don't find out that I am actually one of the poorest people you'll find. I can understand if none of you will forgive me since I did lie to you.

Thanks for any forgiveness you give to this teller of fibs.

Hey, you can always use the public library! I go there once in a while if my internet wants to be mean to me, and I can use the computer for for like an hour before they put that weird 1 hour block on your library card.

Only problem with that is, my public library doesn't have computers for me to surf the internet with when I want it.

Write a 2 to 400 page essay to the city counsil on why that library in your town ABSOLUTELY needs internet to be a real "libray" in the age of the internet today.

My "town" doesn't even have one of those. I live in a small "town" with a population of about 100-200 people in it...

Then you start a city council and demand that the library gets public internet service.

Then you set up a theme park to get some people to come to the town.

This might be possible considering the people here have a ton of money. (It's sorta like a retirement village, bunch of old, rich stiffs.) Though, they'll all just hit me with their canes and tell me to get off their lawns, "young whipper-snapper", stories about WWII. You know, the usual old people stuff.

I totally know what it's like to be that poor (and poorer). It really sucks. Here's hoping you guys can get back on your feet again. I'm sorry you have to deal with that right now.

I'm sure people will understand, and if not, oh well. At least you didn't have a malicious intent, so people should forgive you. (^_^)

Since I hadn't seen the post you made previously (haven't been round on the forums to check), it didn't affect me at all, but I do sympathise with you. Good luck~
