I realize it's your personal preference but perhaps you should really lit up on the whole border thing. Border is one of the least least least important aspects of a signature. If it's not clear by now, then think on this:

Does a painter think of what kind of frame his painting would be kept within? No. he simply does not care because it's simply not important. In cases of signatures, the border is but an after-thought, sometimes not even needed.

Really, I insist.

As for the purpose of this topic, your avatar and signature are un-ratable because they're just cut and paste. No credits required.

Borders might not be that important for signatures, but they work great with avatars! I suggest enclosing your current avatar in a thick black border, trust me, it will look better.
