Signatures and Avatars; Rules of Conduct
It has come to our attention that there is obvious disruption in this thread when it comes to proper criticism. We are here to make sure that we can keep a peaceful atmosphere, since it seems that certain members may be taking 'Constructive Criticism' a little far. Here are some rules we decided to lay out in order to ensure a healthy future for our forums.
While all members are entitled to their opinions, It is important to deem whether or not someone may find it offensive, as always.
Art may be seen as a very touchy topic as it's criticism can just as easily offend someone as much as it would be accepted from a person. It is not easy to tell a persons feelings on such thoughts, there for voicing your opinion should be considered in the utmost neutrality as possible when giving criticism.
Words; I think, I believe, or In my opinion are the most important of all things to put down. Your opinion is not a rule, therefore cannot be considered fact. So to fully gain a person's attention on your thoughts, and to keep it neutral, These words must always be considered before starting a sentence.
Statements such as "This is bad", "Stupid", or any other comments along the same lines will not be tolerated at all. Once again your opinion is not set in stone and therefore saying such will only ignite an argument amongst the topic.
Be sure to use best judgment before posting what you feel, Any changes in opinions are always welcome as well.
If the topic poster requests for positive comments only (Which is perfectly acceptable), then any comments considered negative can be seen as offensive. So please also be sure to read the main post before replying.
Remember everyone! Just try to have fun, there is no tension and art is supposed to be a fluid thing. Let's all do our best to show how creative we are; whether the picture was found or created. If anyone has concerns or problems, there is always a Moderator willing to help you out!
Thanks for your time,
Falsetto

Pretty much agreeing with all of it except this little thing...unless I'm misinterpreting it.

Are you saying that people cannot give non-offensive constructive criticism? I definitely think it's necessary to receive criticism in order to get better at your craft. Otherwise, why bother posting it if you're just going to receive the same comments over and over again?
For example:
*person A makes a thread about his sig*
*Person B says the text does not match the flow*
Would something like that be allowed?

In other words I am saying Criticism is acceptable unless the person themselves ask for; "Positive comments only" In their first post.

I was actually thinking of making something like this earlier, looks like you beat me to it, and made it sound better too.

Same here, I was just too busy to actually create one. Good thing Falsetto was able to attend to it.
I agree with this one hundred percent.

I have to disagree with that positive comments only part. It's just, stupid. You're never going to get better nor receive true results if you only ask for the good. People who post in that thread will most likely be lying in the end

you have a valid point Sheapy.
But those ppl might not care to get better, they might be pleased with how they are and dont want criticism. they are just posting things they are proud of.
