Why do this?
This technique will help people who needs to bypass their firewall without turning it off by performing a "run as administrator" function (useful for coalitions between running mabi and your virus protection).

Notes:
I personally think running off the web is easier, because my laptop remembers my ID and PW. Not to mention its faster for me, but as stated before, this is for people who have problems with their virus protection or prefer running it off your desktop. This works on my Windows XP Netbook, but it doesn't work on a Vista/7 OS.

***This process also helps if you clear your recycle bin of all Mabinogi-related data.

Let's get started
Okay, the idea is actually very simple.

1)Use the "search" function. Click the "All Files and Folders" tab. Type in "mabinogi". You will come across multiple data involved with Mabinogi. The .AVI files are your movies you've recorded. All the JPEG are the screenshots you take via "prtscrn". Ignore these.





2) You want to look for the orange Celtic logo and "application" underneath the "type" bar. Double click this. If it runs Mabinogi client, you've found it.



3) Simply drag and drop it to your desktop and you might want to rename it to "Mabi Shortcut" or something along those lines to prevent mixup between the web client and the normal client.

Alternate method (works on vista and 7):
1) Right click your desktop and run your mouse to "new".
2) run it to "shortcut" and click it.



3) Type in: %SystemDrive%\Nexon\Mabinogi\Mabinogi.exe



4) Nickname it whatever you will, it doesn't matter.

I went to my Applications,(I double-clicked) it just brought me in the folder, it didn't start Mabinogi.

Or, go to my computer > Programs > Nexon > Mabinogi > Mabinogi.exe


And that should do it.
