Lets get started.
If u choose to become Melee (Warrior, W), You made a very good choice. It is the easiest and most money saving way. And important part is... there are less dungeon restriction, and W is the fastest in clearing most dungeons. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Less talk... take a look at this movie. A monster W clearing Alby Adv. in less than 40min w/o gettig a single hit. My favorite movie. Especially look at 5'23"- 6'00" You will see why WMR1 is MUST http://dory.mncast.com/mncHMovie.swf...3416&skinNum=1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pros & Cons Pros: 1. Less money required: No need to buy mana pots. Stamina and Life are required; however, they are at least obtained from Shops and cheaper. Weapon repairing fee are less compared to Mage's wand-repairing fee. Archer would cost the least money though. 2. The strongest: You can take out the most effective Dmg by W. It is because of WM. WMr1 and Critr1 easily gives you over 300% dmg around you. WM and Crit become essential skills in Adv. dungeons. Mage and Archers can't compete on this. 3. Takes the least time to clear dungeon In other words, W is the fastest in making money via clearing dungeons. Cons: 1. Rare items are expensive: Very expensive items... =_= 2. Control is VERY important: 3. Limited skills that give u STR: Thus, u need good items to increase ur dmg. 4. Ppl will be jealous of you: Show mage and archer how u treat(?) each dungeon room... ...via WMR1 They won't like u ![]() ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Useful Ego: 1. 2-handed Swd: This gives u the max DMG and very high Dur, so that you can use it for a long time. Also it looks a lot cooler than Gladius. I am raising Claymore at the moment cuz it looks better (2-hand has more DMG than Claymore =_=) 2. Gladius This gives u the minimal 30% Critical at lvl 1. Also when dual weild is updated, the Ego Gladius and 222b-Broad swd will give u more DMG than 2-hand Ego. Dur is however a bit lower. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Skills 1. Combat Mastery: The most basic skill. Sooner or later, u will need R1. 2. Windmill: One of the best skills in Mabinogi. This is a must-Rank1 skill. When you obtain R1, it is okay to say you are middle class W. No further explanation needed. Also, comparing to Refining and Weaving... its not hard to make R1WM. ![]() 3. Critical: It is required not only to W but also to Archer and Mage. Second best skill and must rank1. 4. Smash: Eventually Rank1 is needed. But, in the beginning, Windmill and crit are more required. 5. Final Hit: If u take a look at FH... its not the perfect skill. it's a skill that gives u more STR. Effect is very awesome.. but that is it. 6. Other life skills: Refining and Weaving gives u DEX, which is needed for increasing Balance. The good weapons have ****ty balance (ex: 222b-broad sword). Fishing, resting and fireball give u few STR (Range and AR also gives u STR from R5-R1 i think -_-). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Skill Build Up From #1-#6: You will have very low DEX. Thus 230-Gladius and 292-Mace is recommended. I personally prefer 230-Gladius. The last 2-modification will be updated when Eria comes out. Yet still Gladius is a good weapon. 1. Get Combat Mastery Rank B: It is to get STR+5 from Giant enchant. Giant is very useful enchant to W. If u put Giant on all equip (H.Armor, Weapon, Shield, Hat, gloves and Shoes), you will get 30 STR. 2. Obtain Smash, Crit, Counter, WM, Defense, Fire bolt and Ice bolt: Those prementioned skills are essential to obtain. Ice bolt Rank F is also required to lure monsters. 3. Get Smash, Crit, and WM to Rank9: Of course, the ideal is to get WMR1 as soon as possible; however, its hard to clear dungeon w/o smash. SmashR9 gives u 300% dmg. 4. Crit and WM to Rank1: Work both Crit and WM at the same time. Both skills take some time to train (especially Crit.. b/c u will beed master title to use Fundamental Enchant). 5. Combat Mastry and Smash to Rank1: Both skills are required to increase ur DMG (both skills gives u STR). 6. Now, slowly work on Life skills (refining and weaving): Refining and Weaving takes lots of time to Rank up. Refining R2 and Weaving R8 might be the hardest. It takes endless effort to master. Refining R2's failing requirement is first to be completed. After that... P. Mastery R1 ---> Refining R1---> Weaving R1. From #7 ~: Now you have some DEX. It is a good time to slowly change your weapon. I recommend 222b-Broad Sword. The high DMG and Crit. It is used among advanced W player. When you use it on both hands, you will just love it. ![]() 7. Get AR and Range skills: From R5 --> R1, both skills give u STR. Yes! Get R1. DEX is needed anyway. 8. Potion making and Herb. Pot and Herb skills are required to satisfy Spike enchant requirement. Spike (가시 suffix Rank5: +10dmg, when Herb R9 or higher +10DEX, When Pot RA or higher +10STR) Potion making takes a long time to train ![]() 9. Getting Defense master and Critical master: It's b/c of 2 enchants; incubus and Fundamental Incubus (prefix Rank9, on weapon only): when DefR1 +6MinDmg, when using Def Master Title +12MaxDmg Fundamental (원리의 prefix Rank5, on light armor): STR,DEX,INT all +5, When using Critical Master Title+16% crit. 10. Final Hit will be updated: Put all APs to get Rank1. As you see, W has a limited # of skills that gives u STR. FH takes tons of APs. Don't waste ur AP on other useless skills (ex: handcraft, tailoring, BS, or magic skills). FH is not the best skills, but at some point you will need it b/c of STR. 11. Fireball and fishing If u get all STR that u needed from those prementioned Skills... you are now advanced W. You will have easy time on every dungeon u go. Focus and Fireball and fishing b/c they give u the last bit of STR. And focus and getting a Good weapons. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Useful Enchants: 1. Darkness (Rank7 suffix, on armor only): +5-15 Dmg. Freaking awesome enchant, but hard to get. Of course expensive. Chigae purchased Victorious Darkness from Vireo by 7M. 2. Fox (RankB prefix): +1-2/ +2-4 Dmg. Cheap and a good enchant. If u are not rich, put fox on every items 3. Fox Hunter(RankE prefix): +1-4 Dmg. Even cheaper than Fox enchant. Of course useful 4. Wolf Hunter (RankC prefix) +4-6 Dmg. Somewhat expensive. +2 point makes a big difference. 5. Victorious (RankC prefix, on clothing and armor) +6 dmg. Very expensive enchant, comes out as victorious bracelet 6. Sacrificial (RankC prefix, on shoes and gloves) +6 dmg when Smash is lower than RankC. If your smash is not higher than RankC, you can use this. Usually archer uses this enchent ![]() 7. Basic (기초의) 8. Fundamental (윈리의) 9. Bust Knight 10. Habbit 11. Graceful 12. Avenger 13. Raven 14. Incubus 15. Spike 16. I hope you aren't suggesting to raise Fireball for strength. -_-
Majority of the damage comes from skill ranks, not combat mastery or minor strength bonus from life skills. If you are spamming WM, you going to need stamina pots. As for the heal pots... some people can run around in deadly all the time... some people can't. But Archers/Mages still need Windmill as well... Every combat character will want R1 critical (and most likely R1 windmill) eventually. |

I don't get this part... "222b-broad sword" whats the "22b"? I lack terms in this game, don't insult me.
and also, you make it sound like I have to "immediately" raise Windmill to one. Ap right now is a bit tough for me because I'm still weak, regardless of combat experience. My Windmill is R5 for now, that good for ya ? Lol, I figured that would be a better place to leave it. I don't want to rank it to one asap, even though ranking crit and smash won't do much to my power level.Well my skills are like this so far. Combat Combat Mastery- Rank E Critical Hit- Rank E Smash- Rank E Counter-Novice Defense-Rank F Sharp Mind- Rank F Windmill- Rank 5 Ranged Mastery- Rank F Magic- Magic Mastery- Novice Icebolt- Rank F Firebolt- Rank F Life Production Mastery- Rank F First aid- Novice Campfire- Rank F Rest- Rank F My power level isn't that high it seems. I Red skeletons are still labeled as "Boss" and I use Windmill a lot of times (Mostly in the switch rooms). My Plan is to train it, but not really put much of that "training effort". Just do the dungeon and gain experience from doing the skill, even though another skill is my focus. I'm still moving up in the combat world and ap is a slight problem, since I can't level that fast. all I do is rabbie, all day long, forever, but it makes me richer. If you could, I'd like some extra advice on training. |

![]() 1. There are two types of 222 modification of Broad sword. We call it 222A and 222B (222B modification is just one of them). You can take a look at this guide about Modification. It shows u details of it (Dmg, crit, and balance etc.). 2. Yes, AP is always issue. By looking at Ur build-up tree. I suggest u go with Combat RankB first so that you can use Giant Enchant. 3. Rabbie running is very important, as you mentioned, b/c it gives tons of money. Buy Giant enchant and put on ur equip. 4. Take a look at my Equipment Guide. ![]() Hope this helps~ Lastly, DMG of melee totally depends on equip and weapon. If you wanna be stronger.. focus on getting a good item.

When people say 222 mod or 182 (random guess), it refers to the amount of proficiency that is needed to complete that set of upgrades. The numbers are generally unique, though they do overlap at times (as shown here.)
... That video was very impressive. ... Nice that he didn't seem to lag much, even though he's recording...

Any other + dmg enchants to look forward too?
? Lol, I figured that would be a better place to leave it. I don't want to rank it to one asap, even though ranking crit and smash won't do much to my power level.
