Chef Inuri's Guide: Cooking and You

Intro

It's not all cut and chop kids! Cooking is a lot more difficult! Sometimes, you drop a knife or fork and lose it, or worse, you get hungry on the job. But be warned! Do not eat your dish. That brings me to the number one tip: Your audience and you.

Part 1: Your Audience and You

What do you order at a restaurant? Well, ask someone else that barely knows you it. In fact, go to your favorite diner and ask a waiter you never knew for "your regular". Chances are, he has no idea what you like.

Sorry, bub, but as a chef, you don't know all your customers.

So you ask them what they'd want. In Mabinogi, feel free to explain you cook bread or pasta or whatever. They won't mind. Ask them for a dish, and in a dungeon, ask them what stats they lack. A basic chef would make strawberry milk* for a basic health addition.

So this was the simple intro to making your audience happy.

Part Two: The Chef Inside and You

Under the gruff appearance of some chefs- there's a common factor. A passion for cooking. In real life, I LOVE cooking! I do it for fun, even if it means throwing away food after just cooking it. 'Fcourse, I eat it. :P Imagine a creamy cake with your personal picked flavors. Mmm, yummy, eh? Well, you better head over to Dunbarton and speak to the Grocery Store owner (Was is Gilys or something?) and ask her about skills. But believe me, don't do this if you don't have cash. It's about 8,000 Gold for the table and knife, and then soon you'll need 23,000 more for a cooking pot, 1,000 more for a cooking spoon, and many 10,000's more for books to advance your skill quickly. Books are purchasable through Dunbarton bookstore. But let's move on...

You have your items. Well grab a loaf of bread (Not sliced!) and cheese, only making about a 130 Gold purchase. Not bad when you combine them into Cheese Bread*, every good cook's first practiced meal. It adds minor stats, but it's nice when you make 5 Star ones. Oh the visions! If we continue, I'll bring you upon where the sweat and tears come from. (No blood, don't worry.) Making your food.

Part Three: Chopping, Mixing, Baking, Simmering, Steaming, Kneading and You

Woah. A fat title, eh? Eat enough cooking and you'll be that big. Kidding, kidding. Everyone should know this: many foods and delicacies reduce weight.
But how to make them?
Purchase ingredients: In Mabinogi, there is no adding a pinch of pepper for taste. You do what you have to do, and normally, there will be condiments within the original recipe.

Our Wiki, I will tell you right now, is a horrible table for cooking. That is why I will try my hardest to upgrade it to Power Levels over 9000!- Eh, nevermind. But cooking is an important skill- read a few recipes and you will do it. I promise you now.

Of all the years I spent on Mabinogi, I never once tried cooking, nor have I ever bought any food xDDDDD

Mabinogi World has dishes?! I don't think we have anything on recipes at all XD I'm wiki mod there so I check up on stuff like that.

Supposedly cooking isn't important enough.

If you think you're up for the challenge, you could also bring the info directly into the wiki here as well. That'd be very nice.

Um for the pizza comment, wouldn't you consider the 'cheese bread' just pizza without tomato sauce? Also you will be working FOR FREE at the concerts. :P.

With that said, I like your guide alot Inuri. Try to find more fruit recipes, preferrably citrus. I love Oranges the most.(Favorite color, fragrence, soda, and overall <3)
