Hi Visions!

To keep things entertaining, Visions is hosting another tournament!

Here are a details!

A single-elimination 4v4 tournament in Filia Arena. We'll try a tournament with no arena rules this time, which means participants can FH/FS, use egos, use trans, pets, potions... etc. Damage % is not capped, it will remain 100% so that participants will die quickly even if they use potions. All matches are best out of 3, which means when two teams match up, they will play up to three games, and the first team to win two rounds is the overall winner of the match. The only restrictive rule is that you may only trans one time in one round of the match. So if a participant trans in 2 rounds or trans twice in the same round, that participant's team will be disqualified.

And ofcourse common rules against misbehavior will also apply in this tournament. Any team who articulate negative behaviour will instantly be disqualified and perhaps restricted from Visions’ future activities.

There will be no prize money for this tournament, participants are encouraged to register for fun.

Teams will be randomized! The end of registration for this event is Wednesday, January 20. This tournament will start Friday 8 PM PST as soon as the 3v3 tournament is done.

Hello Visions!

We will be accepting applications for VPA position from now until January 19. All members in Visions are qualified to apply for this position. If you are interested in applying, please write a convincing reason on why this guild position is best for you.

VPAs enforce good behaviour and protect guild members from harassment. They are granted full leadership power to penalize and reward members in the guild for as long as they remain responsible and focused on their objectives.

VPA responsibilities/expectations:
- Moderate forums
- Create guild events/activities that reduce harassment and promote good behaviour
- Report harassment to council members and suggest solutions to resolve conflicts
- Discuss ideas in Officer Discussion forum

Note: To prevent unfair advantages Specifics for event 2 & 3 will be posted prior to their commencement.
First Event: CAT FIGHT!!!

Flaunt your feline fighting ability in an all out cat on cat ladder style tournament. Will your cat show dominance in the ring, or will it scamper away and hide under the couch? See who has the best cat pet of all, and possibly your cat could bring you home a prize worthy of its fighting skills. The tournament will be held throughout the day so be sure to be Online.

Mice and Rats have long been the enemy of the Common Cat. Prove yourself the purrr-fect mouse trap, and kill as many rodents as you can. Bring proof and you will be rewarded.(This event will run for the 3 satudays the 23rd , 30th, and the 6th)

Third Event: Feast Fit for a Feline

Cast your line into the one place cats will not go in order to bring Storks kitten the biggest meal she has ever seen. This is a fishing derby, where participants will be on the Irea fishing boat. I will be at the boat between the hours of 9:00 AM (Server Time) and 11:00 AM to collect. Any later and you will have to find me. The ones who catch the most “???” will be rewarded for their service. (This event will run for the 3 satudays the 23rd , 30th, and the 6th)

Hi Visions!

We will open a voting for 5th council from now until January 30. You may nominate any member of Visions for the council position. You may nominate only one member. You cannot nominate yourself. The votes will be viewed publicly to assure that there will be no cheating.

Council responsibilities/expectations:
- Recruit new members into the guild. Approve website and guild stone applications. Visions receive applications from new members, returning members, and members bringing in alts.
- Moderate forums and manage the website.
- Discuss guild rules, plans, events, activities and ideas in Officer Discussion forum then decide on how things should be implemented.
- Respond to VPA suggestions, member feedbacks and feedbacks given by players outside the guild to effectively resolve conflicts.
- Communicate with other councils regularly.
- Penalize and reward guild members appropriately.
- Recommended that councils are organized, creative, respectful, responsible and flexible with plans changing.

*Basically, your decisions as council will ultimately shape Visions’ future! You will have the biggest effect and responsibility to lead Visions to the right goals! This position takes a lot of commitment and responsibility, so do not take this position lightly!

Hi Visions!

Many of you seem to want to create your own guild event. Well, Visions is going to make it easier for you! Members may now host and advertise their own events in the Member Event Forum Section!

There are some conditions!
- You need the approval of one council member to host your event. You must mention the name of the council who approved your event in your event description.
- You need to tag your event as either an Event, S. Event, or a Tournament
- There may only be 4 active Member Hosted Events at a time.
- If you are offering prizes as rewards for the winners of your event, you’d have to provide your own prizes.
- With a good reason, councils may cancel your event at any time even without notice.

If you want to create a banner to advertise your event in the website’s main page, then you’d have to use this template in Photoshop to create your image, upload to Photobucket and then view it at the top of your event. A council will copy your event banner to the main page as soon as possible. Please save your event banner as gif and tag your event appropriately as an Event, S. Event, or a Tournament!

Tags:

Event – A guild activity that is hosted by a Visions member.
S. Event – A guild activity hosted by Visions in collaboration with a player/group outside of the guild.
Tournament – A type of tournament style activity.

This notice is meant to clear misunderstanding. This notice will remain active in the main page for 2 weeks.

Packet editing/Range mod seems to have become an issue after last week's Guild Battle. Our members are pressured by outside players who convict our guild to be users of PE mods/hacks. Distrust is growing within our guild and confusion and misunderstanding is spreading. This is becoming a serious issue.

Visions’ leadership is fighting this problem as early as possible before it grows into something even larger. We will share information to those who ask questions to clear any confusion. We assure the public that we are doing our best to shape our guild for the better.

Visions does not support range modders, and the reason it may seem that we are openly ignoring some accusations by outside players is because they are mixed with "net mosquitoes" who just find this as opportunity to amplify their hate for Visions because of competitive reasons, we are only trying to protect our members from harassment.

There is a proper way of reporting feedbacks to us. If you wish to make a report, you may note any Visions Council or VPA in game or post in our public forums. Visions has a public forums open for anonymous users, anyone is allowed to post on that public forum for as long as they follow the public forum rules. Our view on reports is that we assume all Visions members are good members until they can be proven otherwise by sufficient evidence, like a video.

Although we hope that there actually aren’t any members in Visions who use these range mods, it is possible. Visions will have no tolerance for members who are discovered using these type of mods.

Hey Visions!

Visions is hosting a video promo-vid contest that is open for all Visions members! Create a video promoting all the wonderful features of our guild! You can draw some ideas when you're making your promotional video here by looking at Visions' advertised features and first promotional videos!

You may work by yourself or with a group to create the Promo-vid. The prize for the winning promo-vid is 2 mil, and will be split amongst the members responsible for the winning promo-vid. The winning promo-vid will be featured as one of Visions' official promo vids and its makers will be fully credited and recognized for their work!

The promo-vid will be judged for its clarity, creativity, ideas, and overall opinion of other members! The deadline is March 8, 2010. Post submissions and questions here!

I know this event used to be a contest open for members but after some talk and much consideration, we decided it would be better if the video is a collective effort!

I sent in my application, and will apply at the stone tomorrow when I'm able to get on, but I'm a little worried. I'm decent at battling, though I don't do adv as its a bit too hard for me (I love basic though) and I'm not that great at pvping. :[ Also, my level is lower than 200 by some (not sure how much as I haven't checked it lately - its 170 or so) so how much of a chance do I actually have?
