Korean Mabi's New Service
Just out of curiosity, why did Korea change its service?
"As of August 1, 2008, the South Korean version of the game has terminated all Premium Services, with the game's 2-hour time limit per day for non-paying users removed. To replace the services, two packages have been released: the Inventoryplus Kit and the Mabinogi Premium Pack. As a result of this change, any feature related to Mainstream Quests or Spirit Weapons is no longer dependent on whether the user has Premium Services.
The Inventoryplus Kit is available at 1,400 won for 7 days ($1.44) or 5,500 won for 30 days ($5.66). It is much like the old Extra Storage Service, containing the following features:
* Double the Bank Inventory
* Ability to Share Bank Inventory between Characters on the Same Account
* Personal Shop and Brownies usable
* Item Bag usable
The Mabinogi Premium Pack is available at 2,500 won for 7 days ($2.57), 9,900 won for 30 days ($10.18), or 25,000 won for 90 days ($25.71). Its features include that of the Inventoryplus Kit's, as well as:
* Guild Creation & Administration
* Housing
* Nao's Birthday Presents
* Nao's Birthday Presents for 20 Year-Old Characters
* Premium Gestures
* Additional Battle EXP Bonus (+10%)
* No Camping Penalty
* No EXP Loss via Revive in Town
Nao Revives are now offered as Nao Soulstones, purchasable through the Item Shop. Three are provided for free upon creation of a new character. "
I'm just curious if anyone knows how the Korean players feel about this change and what made Nexon do all of this.

This has been really great for many of us, especially the free players, who can now enjoy free transformation, mainstream, ego, and play without the 2 hour limit.
Unfortunately, even with 15 channels, removing the 2 hour limit resulted in full channels... at all times.
This new service package is both good and bad. Camping penalty removal was something we really could use, since field bosses give a lot of exp but are no exception to this rule (and now you don't need to worry anymore!).
Its cheaper for service now, so its really great. The free rebirths are making life a whole lot easier.
The biggest fall of this new service? Nao Soulstones and the removal of the original Nao service. Some people depended HEAVILY on Nao service, especially with the full bless part and the emergency bombs.
Even though people say "how can you make money like that?" I still see Nao Soulstones as their main weapon for cash raking.

To be honest, if I had to buy my Nao Revives individually rather than just waiting for them to recharge ingame-daily, I'd be rather irritated. Extremely so. >_>
The bombs I don't worry about all that much, but I would miss them too.

Guild creation and admin is only with the premium pack? I didn't know that, that's annoying. Though I'd probably get that anyways if this ever makes it to NA, for the premium gestures if nothing else

The only way I wouldn't be highly annoyed is if the soulstones were very, very cheap. Like almost nothing. I mean, we get one free revive every... 36 minutes, was it?
Having to pay for each individual one is just cruel.

I somewhere like that idea of the removal.
Why? because it makes the game more fair and balanced for both sides, the paying costumers and the non-paying ones.
But they could have moved the Nao Support to the new Mabinogi Pack and leave it the same, while non-paying players get it too, but they would get an additional Nao Support in hmm.. let's say 2 Erinn days? that would make it fair x3
By the way Akemi, where did you find that information?o.o

While not having to pay for Mainstream and Ego might be good, I think the lack of free Naos is too big of a penality to for any of the other benefits to make up for it. With the amount of Naos I used, I can't afford to pay for each of them.
Also, when I have extra Naos, it encourages me to try "new" (or more reckless/faster) strategies in clearing rooms.
I wouldn't bother much about bombs, but still they do help me once in a while. T_T
Funny how noone complains about that extra experience that payed users get. (yet) Wow, NO camping penality AND NO exp lost at town? O_O
Wow, 2 hour limit means that a non-paying player can log in 2 hours at a time or 2 hour a day? That is pretty harsh through.
I still hope we won't ever change to Korean style premium services. Maybe Nexon will add the premium gestures later. (No exp lost at town would be nice too, lol) I also notice Korean services don't get that one item per character in an account per day thing.

Everything sounds nice except the nao revives.
I probably wouldn't even be playing this game today if it weren't for nao revive option, it's what allowed me to keep playing without worrying too much about losing my items or exp so that i could practice and get fairly decent at combat. I actually still do that today when i try to practice on harder monsters or new strategies. Hopefully by the time we get to G9 i won't need nao at all.

Its on the main Mabinogi KR site.
Also, its been announced in Mabinogiworld, they cover mabi news internationally.
Not only that, but me and a few others already blabbed about it enough as it is.
