I'd go with leather long bow because it has a long range for sniping but it's not useful in dungeons unless you're good at it.

I believe an XBow really shines when you're using AR with it.

Just go by what YOU want. Everyone will tell you what is better but really, its all about what u like best and how you going to improve your weakness of the weapon

well, there IS stat differences between both the crossbow and leather long bow, not sure the EXACT details of both weapons but if u look at each one's stat you'll see some difference in speed, power, and durability. If u can improve one over the other through enchants WITHOUT upgrading them, then u'll have a weapon u be proud of.

If you have arrow revolver, a crossbow shines brighter than any other bow (in my opinion, at least). The crossbow's major disadvantage compared to other bows is the fact that since you must pull the string back and then load a bolt, the loading time is considerably longer than a bow where you pull the string and load an arrow simultaneously. Arrow Revolver removes this issue, since you only load once and can fire 5 times. A crossbow has a much higher critical rate than other bows and better damage, so if you don't have to deal with the load time due to AR bypassing it, there's basically no reason to not use a crossbow. However, until you get AR it's best to use a conventional bow, usually a leather longbow. If you're really into getting the most out of the combat system (and have ZERO lag) you might even want to look into learning the elusive Shot of God technique which allows you to fire much faster than normal and hit 100% of the time. It's something that you, the PLAYER have to learn, not your character, so it takes practice time, but it's definitely worth being able to fire incredibly fast and have 100% accuracy.
