I did my first rebirth before level 30, I think. >_>
Like people said before, higher skills ranks lets you level far easier.

Before you spread your AP everywhere, it is better to focus on Windmill above anything else. Why? Because after a certain amount of CP, you can no longer get r1 Windmil. Also, having r1 Windmill will make almost all the dungeons that are currently out a walk in the park.

I only have r1 Windmill and r9 smash (and rF everything else with rB combat mastery), and I can no longer get boss kills from Zombies after a certain amount of levels. It doesn't take a lot of CP to take you out of r1 Windmill possibility.

After that, getting r1 critical is important because it helps ALL damage-related skills.

I am also a person who loves to put AP in every skill as well. (And wants to be a everything/hybrid, lol)

Which means, more money, more drops, more fun (maybe), and more level/ap in a much shorter amount of time.

I highly recommend not stopping windmill at Rank A. Windmill gets much more useful at rank 9, because at rank 9 it takes like a third less time to charge than it does otherwise, like .7 instead of 1.1 seconds or something like that.

May not sound like a lot, but it is.

I'd also recommend checking out wikis so you can find out stuff like that, before deciding on a skill build. The wiki here might be good, I havent' used it recently myself, and then there is also the Manbinogiworld.com wiki.

Unfortunately my combat mastery and Smash are already at A, and my critical is B, and Counterattack is I think D. But I have decided to at least rank up my Windmill to a high point before I do my other skills. I'm not really sure what I'm going for, but I've been telling myself that I want to get everything I'm interested in to Rank A, even the life skills. I'm not really into Magic so I haven't touched it.

I guess I'm considering Magic now, but I'm still thinking I'd rather just be a powerhouse warrior than a multi-class player. And I still want to be well versed in life skills, even though I'm not much of a marketer so I mean, I don't know what I'd do with the stuff I'd make.

I think I've decided what I wanna do, it's just a question of getting the AP together to do it.

Well, your combat power except for Combat Mastery is still very low since Counter Attack and Critical is very low in combat power. As long as those Zombies are boss type, you have the chance to get a high rank windmill.

You shouldn't really do life-skills because you want to make a profit because there are far easier ways of making profits. (Dungeon running) Life skills, while having low AP requirement, takes a long time to raise up.

You should do life-skills only because you enjoy doing them.

What about Rest and Firemaking? I don't really think Firemaking is all that useful, but Rest seems like it would be very usable.

Really in terms of Life skills I'm considering just doing Tailoring because I like sewing in real life. ^_^

Well... if you have that much AP, and nothing to spend on, go ahead? XD

High level Campfire helps increase burning enchantments out. However, that is starting at rank B which isn't out yet.

High level Rest has different posture... but it isn't out yet either.
I don't see much point on either skill through since I rarely use them.

If you want to do tailoring, then you have to do weaving as well. Weaving provides materials for tailoring (and blacksmith, handicraft)

Unless you just stick to part time jobs. >_>

What about Defense? I mean how useful is it really? I barely ever use it, so should I just leave it where it is at Rank D?

If you have the AP, get it. If you don't leave it alone.

The problem with defense is that it raises CP by a lot, which makes other skills really hard to gain.

Besides, it raises your natural defense as well.

If you use un-train capsules, do you get the AP for them back?

Yes, you get however many AP it took to get that rank (e.g. 20 for de-ranking WM from 4 to 5.)

I wouldn't worry about defense too much. I have rank E and it works fine against 97% of mobs (like everything except golems) as long as you have a kite shield.

There's probably better things to invest in atm.
