Default Regular Rebirthing

I'm trying to raise my skills up, but I can't really do it when my AP increase is so pitifully slow compared to how quickly the skills fill up. After the first 4 in-game years, your weekly increases are kind of wimpy, and once you get to like level 20 your level increases are slower.

What I'm getting at is that I'm looking for a quick way to increase my AP to continue to raise skills regularly, and one of the methods I can think of it abuse the Rebirth Function by rebirthing once every like, 3 or 4 weeks. I'm kind of looking for a more cost effective method though, because even using Basic cards, 25 dollars a nexon card only gets me three of them. I mean the math works a little bit

1 rebirth that lasts for 3 weeks is 14 AP, plus 20 gained quickly is 34 total. Times 3 is 102 AP.

I mean if you have the income for it then maybe it's a good idea, but what does anyone else suggest?

what about leveling to 40 in 3 weeks and then rebirthing?

Its not a quick way to get ap since leveling up to 40 is a little bit time consuming but, ull get that extra AP u need. And u wont have to spend as much money on rebirth cards if u take a bit more time getting up to lvl 40... but just dont take a week++ longer o.o.. 3 weeks and 3 or 4 days should be good enough to get to 40.

I'm barely at 30 though, Where should I go to get to 40? I don't have a lot of time during the week to play, mostly I can only play on Saturday and Sunday.

Personally, I'd just set a level Goal and that's it.

If you work towards the level goal, then you'll go at a moderately nice pace.

I personally think it's fine to take an extra week or two to get to the goal. Eventually you'll get better skills and are able to more demanding dungeons with better rewards, so take your time. :3

Um, I should mention that I meant that 20 was a quick level to get to, not that I would stop there.

Also, I'm trying to figure out which skills to raise and which to ignore. In games like this I like to be proficient at everything, but If I had to cut certain things, what would you suggest?

Right now in combat I'm trying to get to A in
Combat
Smash
Counter Attack
Critical
And Windmill if it's not that expensive.

In Life Skills I want
Production Mastery
Weaving
Tailoring and Cooking

Are any of those really worth it though? Or should I just focus on being a warrior?

you can do the first 2-3 rebirth at early level because low skill rank means low attack, you won't level much with low damage output anyways.

if you going melee it is critical to get wm to high rank as soon as possible

Unless you're trying to keep up with the "uber-powerful" hardcore Mabi players, I don't see a reason to rebirth every three weeks. The first one or two times you may wish to just to get your skills to a rank that is a bit more effective, but after that I would suggest you kind've take it on a case-by-case basis.

I personally rebirth every 5-6 weeks and I always rebirth to age 10:

AP from aging (10yr-old to 16yr-old) = 24

I don't focus so much on level-grinding so I may be level 40-45 by the time I rebirth.

AP from levelling (to lvl 40) = 39 AP

Total AP in one rebirth = 63 Not too bad to keep growing at a fairly constant rate, and it works out to around $5 bucks a month if you average it out.

Don't forget about exploration levels~

When they come out that's even more AP per life.
Lets pretend you get 10 exploration levels per life, and try for about lvl 40, rbeirth every 3 weeks: 64 AP per life. Then at some point, your skills will be so powerful that level 40 will fly by, so maybe you'll go for lvl 50 each life, and get some more exploration levels.

It all builds up on itself.
Time = power = faster AP gain = more power.

I just did some math for AP growth vs rebirth.

I have 5 AP right now (9/20), At the end of this week (9/27), I'll age up and get 4, plus I'll have made it to 30 so I'll gain 2 AP, so at the end of the week (9/27), I'll have 11. Then I'm going to Rebirth on that day back down to ten.

At the end of four weeks, which would be 10/25, provided I get to level 30 again, I'll gain 29 APs by gaining 29 levels to 30, and 19 APs for growing up, making a total of 48. So on 10/25 I'll have 59 AP, and no more credit in my account.

So after buying a new card, it's good for 8 more weeks of the same process. So 48 AP x 2 = 96. Plus the 48 from last rebirth and the 11 I start with, that gives me 155 AP on 12/20. And it would cost me 25 for a new nexon card, and some amount of effort to work up to level 30 at least on each try. This is only an approximation, but does it seem worth the effort?

To get to Rank A in all my combat skills that remain, (Defense, Counter Attack, Critical, and Windmill,) requires 50 points, dropping the total to 105. I think seems worth it, because I'd still have that to use on other skills, even the combat skills. What do you think?

I think you're running into an AP problem due to poor AP management.

You should think about what kind of character you want to be. Windmiller with a focus on Criticals? Or maybe a combat gosu with high CM and/or Smash? How about a magic counter freak?

I got the idea that you are having management issues when you said you're aiming for rA Defense, Counter, Critical, AND Windmill. With proper management, if you were to say hit the Windmill path, you could probably get up to r8 (probably beyond that).

If you rebirth at too early of a level and/or age, you're going to regret it in the long run. The lost AP really does add up after a while, and you're going to find yourself faceplanting yourself against your keyboard once you find out how much AP you cheated yourself out of.

My two cents is that you should hit level 40+ and wait until about age 16-17 (when age AP bonus goes down to 2), unless you want to be one of those ridiculous power-players. Reason being that 3AP is a reasonable amount to settle with.

One last thing: You're focusing on being a Warrior, but remember, Mabinogi is not about classes.
