The forum's ads = LAAAME :o
I was just browsing the site... (at school)
and all of a sudden.... CONGRATULATIONS LUUUL YEW HAVE BEEN CHOSEN TO RESSEEEEV TEW IPOD NANOOS LUUL D; It sucks. Everyone was staring at me. >_> Anyone had this done to you at work/school? XD

It's true. I did donate (although it still hasn't registered. >.>) and I'm looking forward to not having to hear "Congratulations! You've been selected to receive a free macbook air!" every time I load a thread. -__-

Just edit your hosts file to set the domain name of the ad server to 127.0.0.1
Ads can no longer load. Who the hell needs ad blockers o: Waste of resources. |

on windows XP:
WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc file: Hosts (no extension) at the end of the file you would enter something like this: 127.0.0.1 ads.adsdomain.com My wiki account doesn't have ads to begin with, but if i'm logged out, al i see on top is a white space instead of ads. You'll probably have to clear your dns cache, or in some cases wait several hours to a few days for it to be cleared on it's own. Once the domain is cleared from the cache you won't see ads anymore from the domains you enter. Last edited by osayidan : 09-23-2008 at 10:36 AM. |

My ads are different over here. Since I have a JP ip, I always seem to get the usual...
"CONGRATULATIONS! YOU HAVE GOTTEN A GREEN CARD FOR 1 YEAR! CLICK NOW!" ...Or something like that.
