Default GM's change "Hotglue" guild name.

Apparently the GM's at Nexon have decided that "hotglue" is somehow offensive.
No warning nor reason given.

Attempts to file a ticket in complaint were met with their ticket server crashing.

I have never encountered a company that worked so hard to anger and drive off paying customers.

Good Job Nexon. Your GM's have time for this kind of nonsense, but cant be bothered to answer tickets in a timely manner.

Nexon surely has a talent for driving money away.

Bots galore, but their GM's are too busy acting like 10 year olds.

If they think it is offensive, then change it to a different name?
What they did was right through. No reason given? You already know the reason. It was offensive.

As for the bot situation, how do you know that they don't do anything about it? Do you even realize how often those bot changes?

It isn't only Mabinogi that is filled with bots. It happens in most free-to-register MMORPGs.

Enforcing the rules is driving money away? LOL

If you don't like their ways of doing things, don't pay and/or don't play.

I don't find this topic very important.
GMs should first take care of the bots. (My idea is GM in stand-by shifts in popular botting locations, ready to delete any bot who appears there).

Then GMs will be required to stand there 24/7 in all 5 channels in multiple locations across 3 servers.

Probably not a good use of their time.

It is better to find ways to prevent bots from doing their thing rather than ban them.

You explain how "hotglue" is offensive, and how nexon changing the name was "enforcing a rule".

To me "hotglue" is exactily what it sounds like. Will you be calling up craft shops demanding they remove all hotglue guns from their shelves next?

You and nexon appear to have your minds in the same gutter. Botting however is a massive violation of their TOS, but you just go "oh well it's a part of all MMORPG's" and give them free reign to utterly ignore the problem.

Yes, GM's deciding that their efforts are best spent in ignoring or rubber stamping tickets, making idiotic and nonsensical changes in guild and player names while failing to make a token effort to control botting is driving customers away.

If one of my employees acted like these GM's, they'd be invited to seek employment elsewhere.

How is Hotglue an offensive name, word or meaning? o.o
The guild itself has a bad reputation from what i have read around forums, but there's no issue with the actual name...

Actually, having GM's in game constantly would be a splendid idea. It would not only allow them to actively monitor botting, it would allow them a faster response to game, server and connectivity issues.

Instead they expect players to act as troubleshooters.
