Are ego weapons worth it on a limited service?

I'd like your opinion on this:

I rarely get nx - only when I get to save a bulk of my allowance, and that is the same situation with my premium service. I only have it for one day, one month, once in a blue moon when I'm not busy with my studies.

I was enticed with taking up an ego weapon when one of my weapons seemed to "have" the potential to become an ego weapon (this was the time I was continuing G1 Mainstream, just yesterday). However, when I finished up with the Ancient Fossil quest, I found out that it didn't fit because of the upgrades. However, I was so hooked on having an ego claymore.

My question is, is it worth it?

I know the fact that you need to feed it with your life.
A friend and I also found out that without service, when you equip it, the ego starves.
And getting ego-able weapons are quite expensive since they're often at the 80-100k mark...

So if I don't have regular service, is it worth it to keep an ego?
The thought is bothering me... I'd like to be enlightened with another point of view...

I say it's not worth it if you are a person who would use it every single time. If you only use it once in a while for boss battles and such then go for it. It should last you a month or so if you only use it for certain battles and you don't afk with it out.

You can always make your own ego weapons (like me) and save yourself lots of money

If you don't have service often enough to feed Ego to high strength levels, it isn't really worth it. It will be sitting in your inventory doing nothing most of the time.

I usually don't have service, so my ego just sits on my secondary equip slot all the time. The nice thing is it never drops when you die. It isn't much use at the moment, but I would suggest just making your own ego and then feeding it whenever you actually have service. There's no rush to make it the most amazing ego ever.
