I was wondering if its even worth it to play Mabinogi without paying for the extra stuff or is the game boring without it? Please help.

I wouldn't say that it's easy, but I wouldn't say it really difficult. Like many games, the whole thing with paying is about getting an advantage over players who don't pay. I don't pay, and I'm fine. You might not be the best, but like osayidan, the game is based on how you play it, not how much you pay.

Yeah, you have to, but not as soon as you get 3 weeks. I haven't rebirthed since near the end of G2. Not counting the fact I haven't played much. It also depends on how you play. Like if you are an archer, or a chef.

I don't pay for like advanced services or anything like, and I'm pretty fine. I agree that to really get good at the game you have to rebirth every so often, but up until about a month ago that was all I paid for (character cards). Then i went pet crazy.

Anyway, if you have the money to spend then you should pay for cards to rebirth with, because that's the bare minimum of pay features. The way I see it is this

-If you just want to try it out, don't pay for anything.
-If you want to play for fun, pay for a rebirth every so often.
-If you want to play and be a little better than some other people, pay to rebirth more than once every two months.
-If you want an advantage in combat, buy a pet. (And now if you want to travel faster buy a horse)
-If you want to do the bonus stuff like the gen scenarios or the transformations, then pay for a services.

If you ask me, if you're short on money (like me), and you're not dead set on being the best or experiencing everything there is, then don't buy a service. You can get away without it. You won't miss out on a whole lot. Think of it this way, they made Gen 1 free. Chances are they may make other gens free eventually too, so you won't have to pay for them.

Rebirths use character cards, which cost 7,900NX or 9,500NX (premium)
Nothing else is really important. The services aren't required for good play, just for the mainstream quests

$7.90 for a regular character card, $9.50 for a premium character card.
