Oh snap, found out why it's so serious I think....or I might be mistaken.

The attacks you can do with JavaScript are much more subtle and are always against the page viewer (not the server).
The only way I can figure to get safe JavaScript on the wiki is to have the scripts written and ready, then add more Wiki markup to access the features (or, hell, just use div's). For instance, if we had a "tabbing" script that let us define tab ranges then we could ask Itchy nicely to stick it into the MediaWiki templates (or wherever) so it got included in every page etc.
That's probably the easiest way to do it (safely), I think :3
EDIT: Yeah, we'd have to get that stuff into this file ;>

More or less.
So, I'm looking at these skill tables on the JP MabiWiki, and more and more I'm not liking how ours are currently laid out - the problem is that combat skills have a lot more qualities than life skills (even all the life skills need to be updated with MP costs and durations and stuff), so I'm not really sure what to do.
For example, if you look at their entry for Ranged Combat Mastery you'll notice they have fields for the following:
- Aiming Rate
- Pressure Min-Max
- Dex, Strength and Balance bonuses
- AP Cost
- Stamina Cost
- Casting Time
That's 7 things to fit in our little table. Actually, lemmie go ahead and whip up a Template:Skill_Table_7 and give this a whirl. If we make the table wider there may actually turn out to be no problem fitting that in there. Get ready with new skill table layout ideas if all that doesn't fit though (lol).

If I may make a suggestion?
Elves and Giants won't be out for a year in my guess. At LEAST 6 months if I'm wrong.
Isn't it best to use our time to focus on what will come out first, so the wiki can be more helpful? Its not like the skills for humans are even finished yet.
Also, can I suggest that you just make the tables bigger to add for elves and giants when they DO come out?
Java and free editing is NOT a good mix. You always get one or two irresponsible morons who think its funny to throw in a virus with java coding and then things get chaotic.
Either somehow feature it so permitted can only use java, or just don't use it at all O_O

I don't know how much bigger they'll be able to go! They're already kinda big ;_;
But I think you're right. We've still got plenty of time to worry about them, and I'm sure by then we'll have written up a nice tabbed table thing in JavaScript and will be able to integrate it with the wiki skin (thus having that script accessible, but not allowing people to add random JavaScript stuff to the articles).
It is possible to have JavaScript features but not permit users to post JavaScript in the articles. It just means we'll have to convince Itchy in the coming year that our tabbed tables (or whatever) both work on all browsers and are necessary (and good) for the wiki
Until then, yeah, humans.

Yah, we're only focusing on the human attributes for now.
Bout the skills thing...my feeling would simply be to put up a larger table with the info in it that we want. If it's too much for one table, a handy place to break it up would be skill levels f-a and 9-1. Between that tiny little skill pic, description, info about where to find, tips on how to train, etc. and two tables, IMO that's not too much for one page.

Okay, I did Ranged Combat Mastery and put everything into a single table. We can probably get the table smaller by reducing the text-size or something (I can't be arsed to do that tonight though).
Excessive? Possibly. But it fits all the numerical data in there :3

I personally think the table looks fine. I sort of expect to see lots of number when I look up stat info
