you have the info, you just need the PIZAZZ! exploding hamsters, guys boxing bears, sharks with lasers on their backs attacking a mech suit, an awesome background music composed by the Rolling Stones played by Darth Vader.
What, don't look at me like that! I'm serious, you need to catch a person's attention somehow. Spice up the appearence, so it matches just how much information you plan to contain.
Heheheh... yeah its got some ways to go. But commenting on the earlier quote for this quote, I think the most largest problem with the guru's wiki is the organization. Everyone seems to be off doing their own thing, and all the pages are scattered.
As if you have a desk full of papers, but they're not stacked.

Our wiki has the actual rule: You must have C-Rank in both to receive the technique, as far as I know.
I personally reached D-rank in both categories during Pre-OB, you see, and was not awarded the action.
lol, thanks for pointing that out. I'll go change it.

What we need is standards. And I'm not talking about templates. I mean a model page to set the standard for all the pages in that category. For example:
1) Take some time to make a nice page (e.g. on the Windmill skill)
2) Get everyone's input on the style of that page, meaning organization, aesthetic design, wiki-code (particularly the way we format tables =_=), etc...
3) Approve the final model
4) Make all the other pages in that section look like the model page.
You will need a significant group of committed volunteers to pull this off; And a decent volunteer coordinator.
I already posted what I thought in another topic, but I believe we could be a destination if we have the best monster information around. I have seen little to no monster information on the other mabinogi wikis.
Things we could figure out and obtain:
In game pictures.
Levels of the monsters. (Probably with information on how far above or below the monster level you need to be for them to be considered strong/weak/ect on the main monster page).
Drops (and pages for all the drops).
Skills they use.
Where they appear.
Probably other things I haven't thought of.
Images, images, images, the brain thinks in colors and pictures, if I were to say "car" you wouldn't think of "c, a and r", you'd think of a 4 wheeled machine moving around.
Yeah, I agree. I don't think we should necessarily have a list of "do-it-this-way-or-we'll-revert-your-edits" rules (which is what the term "standards" makes me think about), rather, just take the approach you outlined.
I think a more ad-hoc organizational style is probably best though -- people should feel free to add whatever they want, but don't make overly major changes to someone else's work without having some discussion with the community first (ie, leave a note on the talk page, if no one responds within a couple days then just do it).
etc, I dunno. As time goes on we'll probably develop some kind of guidelines that work or something.

Great idea Coleman. I am going to start recording info about quests I do and monsters I fight from now on. So where should we put all of the info we have gathered? in this thread or send it to a mod?
I think we need a little out of wiki organization as well ^^ We seem to have a lot of people with projects going, but I'm not sure we're all aware of each other.
Focused community projects would be great as well, Coleman's idea I like a lot. Could we, as an example create a monsters category and feature it as the "Featured Article" to focus on working on for a week/month etc. Just a little direction in getting everyone together, and for giving those that want to help but don't know how something to do.
I've seen a few members around with wiki mod tags, but I'm afraid I don't know who they are or what exactly they do ^^

PUT IT ON THE WIKI!!!
That's the point of having a wiki -- anyone can edit it and make it better!

They're the SysOps; they have expanded powers on the wiki. They're the only ones who can protect and delete pages and such. Honestly, there's nothing that needs to be done on the wiki that you'd need SysOp powers for -- the only reason they're there is to ban spammers and the like.
