A very VERY long time ago, when I first got my tablet, I decided to take it for a run.
My choice of drawing? My elf. Of course, it was just a copy, but it was also okay practice. It helped me get in the feel of it. Since its something I had in my folders, I figured I'd share it. The horrible art isn't something I can't be shameful about. It was my first try at it, afterall. If anything it shows how much better I've gotten at this.  Now, if there was a picture I actually drew recently to bother comparing it to, I could support that statement above about how I am showing how well I've improved.

Your drawing skills are really mabi similar. I like it. EDIT: What tablet? I use a bamboo Wacom tab.

Yes, I had a nightmare =.= and she was in it ><, what are those things called? do they have a name? Other than if you call them RandomPictures in a random frame with a funny quote? >.>
