If anything bad happens, it's gonna be localized, so unless you live next to it don't even worry about it.

There's already a mini version of this, forgot the name though. It isn't as powerful and i think they use it for different purposes, but no one got sucked into any black holes from that one.

Actually, the black hole an extremely small radius and an extremely large mass.

According to the escape speed required to escape an object's gravitation, which is V = sq( 2GM / R), when escape speed is equal to the speed of light, then it is a black hole. Something needs to surpass this escape speed to escape the object.

In the case of the Black Hole, something needs to be faster than the speed of light, which isn't really possible. (At least scientist don't know it yet)

Obviously, if the gravitational pull is so great that it is speed of light, you won't feel anything at all since it can kill you before your nervous transmits signals to your brain.

Ha. I can't believe some people think that the word's gonna' end. I think that I heard somewhere that black holes of a small size evaporate in mere seconds after they form. Hey, we should all tell the people scared of this that there's a super massive black hole a million times the mass of the sun at the center of our galaxy and every galaxy that has been there for who knows how long. It'd be fun to see the reaction...

Actually, I can assume that the planet won't survive that long anyways.
The life span of a planet vs. the time it takes for our solar system to reach the center of the galaxy.

I'm sure the life span of our planet is shorter than that.

Mankind will have to end at some point or another.

yup. I agree, everything must come to an end at some point. But even if our planet survives long enough to reach the center, it's not like we'll be sucked in anyway. We'd most likely orbit the black hole safely without getting sucked in. Of course, humanity wouldn't live to see that day, as the center of the galaxy has many many stars clustered together and they're much brighter then our sun. There's a possibility that we'd be fried. Or not, I'm just guessing on that part and I'm probably wrong.
