Well I was playing with 3ML and I discovered that even just half of the first song I want to do will require me to have a composing rank of 8, and that was after a lot of optimization.

Apparently I like 3 notes at once a bit too much.

If/once group play is confirmed for NA I guess I'll need to share my scores and write each part for a different person, lol.

glad i'm not the only one that finds the same few things being played over and over by numerous people somewhat annoying ^^;

…though i never really came up with anything other than crap the few times we had a project to compose something in orchestra class back in high school, maybe i'll get lucky one day and be stricken with an idea for something ^^;;

I already made 2 originals, now working on my 3rd one...which doesn't seem to go anywhere however. (lol I was trying to make a Jazz piece o_o)

Obviously though: Ain't gonna post 'em. Wait, actually I might post my crappiest creation.

If you need help with writing music or need someone to check/edit it just PM the sheet music you create. I write music for many different instruments alot.(Working on a piano solo right now ^_^)

Hey, where's the "I rip off songs but not the overdone or even halfway well-known ones" poll option? :P

I only do my favorite songs from my favorite not-well-known games (or things that people just plain don't seem to think about doing) that may seem easy enough to put on MML, but I may wind up doing something original if it starts to grow in my brain like the mold on an abandoned piece of bread.

i think the problem i have has more to do with creativity XD

some time last month i did a little bit of the CARMEN (Prelude Act I) viola sheet music i have from who knows how long ago out of boredom, so if i were able to at least come up with something in sheet-form that probably wouldn't be a problem, though it'd most likely take longer to get done than it should, knowing me…

Random off-topic question about composed pieces -- if someone composes a piece and gives it to you, can you see the MML they used to make it?

I really hope they wouldn't be able to see it, so you guys could distribute your awesome compositions to those who aren't musically talented without risking what is essentially digital piracy.

That happen. If you trade the Music Score with someone that person will be able to see the MML code.

tbh i don't really mind people playing the anime music or those ones that are posted, the thing i hate is when people try to sell it :P it's good music, but yeah i may be trying to compose my own pieces in the future... but at the moment only converting music to mml format(editing and stuff). i also hate when people take the credit of someone elses work.

anyways, yeah isn't there a guild being made for music peoples ?
