Not sure if this is the right place to have this kind of discussion as I am mostly seeing topics about a single song. So if I should have asked somewhere else sorry.

With that out of the way, is there anyone out there planning to create or use their own original music and not just copying video game or midi versions of other songs?

I'd like to meet such people, as I'm going to be doing that as well. I was generally unhappy with hearing Naruto and Final Fantasy all the time in town and occasionally out in the country side. Once I heard butterfly which was a nice change but still something I already knew.

Anyway, for myself I have a few songs I've made over the years, some remixes of real songs, and some midi versions of Reuben Kee I'll likely be playing and making. I'm not sure if I'll share their codes though, but we'll see. You'll probably have to find me in game to hear them.

Im not that much of a composer but i like to play good songs in game hopefully not mass produced ones

For now, Yes I am only doing songs that have been made before because I learned music a couple weeks ago basicaly to just make MML because I didn't want to just take songs from forums and use those as my only source of instrument playing in Mabinogi. However, after I becom emore experienced with MML and music in general I would like to make at least a couple of my own origina pieces.

I'll be making original pieces as well. Having to listen to songs from anime and video games is very overrated and starting to become stale.

I will definitely be composing originals, this is actually what I'm intended to do in the beginning. All the importing famous songs I've been doing up til the starting of the game will be preparations for that. But unfortunately same as Coleman, I won't post my original pieces online. Hate me if you want... >.< (runs..)

I am Orchestra Maestro Tireku BOW DOWN TO ME!...JK!....*cough* well most people in the orchestra forum know my thoughts on this. I believe everyone should at least try and make there own songs. It'll give you a feeling of accomplishment and oters will be more then happy to listen to you play.

I totally agree! All bleach, naruto, and Inuyasha songs are ruined for me now because of the what I call 'copy pasters' in Tir playing them over and over. I create Orchestra pieces for the most part bt I also do my favorite video game songs.

I wish I was creative to write my songs, so I can only transcribe famous songs. And when I say famous, I mean like Lazlo Bane's "Superman" and Gary Jules' cover of "Mad World" *snarls cuz he can't get the sheet music without the watermark* not the overdone Naruto, Bleach, Power Rangers, etc.
