The long string is just to help you with the Copy from Clipboard function in game. You can save it as an MML (with it launching with 3MLE) or word processing file (like Notepad) for easy access later on, but songs really should be listened to first if it's made by someone you don't know.
When importing MIDIs, try to avoid reducing rests. In most cases, it just uses up much needed characters. Also try to Optimize it from time to time.
In my opinion, it kind of lacks a bit of depth without a bass line if you're going to play it on a stringed instrument. However, it sounds quite nice with Flutes and Whistles (better).
