Pet XP-Farming.
So... Pets can't seem to hold Party Quest scrolls... and nor can they hold Dungeon Passes. This sucks epically.
So without being able to do solo Ciar Beginner with my little kitty Hastur... I've had to find alternative means of training.
Thus far... I have been:
[Solo]
#1. Doing Alby Normal runs.
#2. Occasionally venturing into Rabbie Normal.
#3. Killing vast numbers of White Wolves.
#4. Occasionally killing bears / kobolds / wild skellies, etc.
[Summoned]
#1. Doing various dungeon runs.
#2. Killing vast numbers of White Wolves with PQ (more helps my human than my kitty).
[Partied]
#1. Dungeon runs.
I'm not really sure what is the best method thus far though.
Anyone got any further advice?

I have found the quickest method is to do runda. The pirate skellies there give 900-1020 exp a kill I leveled rather quickly that way.Use the speed of the pet to your advantage like when starting smash, runback, counter, run again, charge magic(if you have it)Firebolt works best due to firecounter but all magics will do.If you die u won't lose enough exp that killing a pirate skelle can't fix.I leveled like from 17-20 as my wolf in like 20 minutes(I died a few times but that happens it's not a major consequence as a pet)same for my fox it jumped from 14-19 quicky too but I had an easier time due to firecounter and firebolt

I don't think your pet gains any exp when it's summoned. At least, in a party, it doesn't seem to effect the exp gain rate for everyone else, which makes me think it doesn't gain any exp.
I've found that dungeon runs, just like a normal chara, is the best way. Soloing Rabbie is okay for those first few levels due to the horrible Skeleton AI; I went from level 1 to about 13 there in 2-3 rooms. It gets tedious after awhile, but because of the buffed pet exp, it's worth it.

Your pet gains exp. I have checked, and it just takes your exp and adds it at the same time to itself, multiplied by its exp gain rate(ex. fox is 160%). If you want to check, check your pet's xp bar b4 killing a rat, then check afterwards. Note, it doesn't update your xp bar so you must x out of the stats pop up and open up its stats page again.
Edit: I will try the Runda method, because lately gaining exp has become tough on my lvl 21 fox.

As a note, they can hold dungeon passes, they just can't get them. Basic/Inter passes are fair game, just not passes that require interaction with an NPC. I theorize this means you can hand your pet Beginner passes, but I haven't tried yet.

No, it is not that. Your pet will never be able to hold beginner passes as it requires interaction with NPCs which they are unable to do. However, for any other pass, they must simply be the one to kill the monster and pick it up. However, should they pick it up, you can't transfer it into your inventory. Example, you play as your pet and pick up a ciar basic pass from a goblin, and want to use it on your main char. You cannot remove it from inventory. You must log in as pet to use the pass or throw it away.

Just do Rabbie... Rabbie is easy.
I've played my way through the game without sharp mind so I'm pretty good at playing as a pet (they didn't have it until Chapter 2 in KR server)
Another alternative is to summon it right before you kill a boss that gets you a bunch of exp.

I've done Runda and its lots of good exp. It takes a little while to adjust to multi-aggros from pirate skellys, and the flying sword attack patterns, but it becomes easy afterwards. I don't suggest Rabbie, because you will be probably ice countering or fire countering wasting time for only a little bit more exp than ciar normal. You'd get more exp three-hit killing goblins in Ciar. Not to mention better fomors in ciar, and you don't have to spam mp pots to survive in the day. If you are a quick thinker, even if you get multi-aggroed in ciar normal you can get out of it alive.
