So I just got the Arish Ashuvian armor, and I checked out some upgrades that I could get for it. The one I'm interested most in is the +5 max durability upgrade. I was wondering if, in order to get that upgrade, my armor would be to be at the max durability I bought it at, or not.

Also, I was wondering what was the best way to level armor proficiency? Does anyone know how it is calculated at all? My friend mentioned that getting spammed my monsters that do 1 damage will level it up the fastest, but I wasn't sure if it was the amount of damage that helps to level the proficiency, or just the number of hits your recieve. If any experienced players have any information on this, it would be awesome. Thanks!

i think its the number of hits you recieve, not the dmg. But i am not completely sure.

It's not entirely damge received cause my armor gains proficiency just by running around in town doing errands (like shearing sheep and weaving wool).

I think rain can speed up gaining armor proficiency too, cause when I'm weaving/shearing while its raining, I notice that I gain % faster.
