So I have this unfinished Val for giants and I have a few questions.

Since the final materials include a Siren's Wing Mask and no one sells them () I'll need to hunt the Siren myself. In the dungeon, I'll have to critical smash the siren with at least 60% crit to get maximum % smash.

What equips should I bring (that raise crit but not that much damage)? I have Smash AND Crit r1 so I'm afraid I'll OHKO the Siren before it drops the mask >.>

If I want the Val to be a specific color, what should I do? I remember reading something about suing a copper ingot for it to be red,a silver ingot to make it silver? And after I get the fine fabrics and the mask, should I just give it to a smithie to finish?

Stiff mace and tail cap with plenty of -str enchants and a title like that.

Fully upgraded Stiff/Lizard Thief Bipennis, or something along those lines.

Give the Val to a smither to finish, preferably a higher-ranked one. Copper Ingot=Red color, Silver Ingot=Silver color, Gold Ingot=Gold color, anything else is random.

180 Bipennis for your weapon. A very low Max Damage (13), that's lower than your Min Damage, meaning you'll likely hit your Max everytime. It also comes with 65% crit, meaning that if you want to cap your critical chances on Siren, you only need 25% more, meaning try to Stiff your Bipennis and grab a Tail Cap. That last 5% should come from your stats naturally.

I would also try to make a Hamster Hunter White Spider set for situations like this and/or for proffing needs. Hamster Hunter is a Rank B Prefix that can go on any equip for a loss of 10-12 Max Damage, and White Spider is a Rank B Suffix that can go on any equip for a loss of 3-8 Max Damage if your Weaving is Rank E or higher.

Keep a Giant Newbie Wear next time you Rebirth, along with the boots, buy a cheap pair of gloves, a couple of accessories, and a cooking table. Then for everything but the Bipennis and Tail Cap, enchant both Hamster Hunter (burn item drops from Goblins/Unknown Basic Enchant for helping Duncan) and White Spider (Tork's Merchant Cap from Fiodh Normal's reward).

If you go for max Max Damage lost, that's twenty points of Max Damage per item lost, meaning from the Hamster Hunter/White Spider items, you'll get yourself a loss of a hundred and twenty Max Damage, plus slapping on White Spider on your Stiff Bipennis and Tail Cap for another loss of sixteen will give you a total loss of one hundred and thirty six, meaning that you'll do five damage per Smash, seven damage per Critical Smash unless you have a Strength stat of almost five hundred.

Then once you manage to knock the mask off, use a pet to distract Siren while you change out of your negative damage set of clothing.

When I did my first Siren run (a week ago lol~)
I had my normal 180 Bipennis and stiff cap with StG title and I got first smash crit. So your info would just help more. xD Also Siren is a pushover without her mask, if you're a ranged fighter or mage.

EDIT: And it says on Wiki that at the end it has a 20% completion success? Does that mean I only have a 20% chance it'll actually come out? ._.

Nope. It is only for those people who have high rank smash and/or very high attacks.

Hamster-White Spiders are really useful in reducing your damage on Siren.

When you get the materials, you will need to buy the manual and find a trust-worthy blacksmith to finish. Of course, you can attempt to do it yourself if you are confident about your mini-game. You will get like +3 durability or something if you are good.

The 20% success doesn't apply to the "finishing" part. You will have 100% success to finish, but mini-game performance affects the quality outcome.

Hm. Then what would be better? To get my level 250 with decent equips and r5 smash and decent skills to run Siren or use my level 600 character and try to get Hamster Hunter White Spider equips and a 180 stiff bipennis to run it?

Which would take less time?

People often slap Hamster Hunter on their equips so that they can prof their weapons and only deal one damage, I don't see how being in a different scenario where you need a low Max Damage would ultimately be different.
