Useful and useless alchemy skills?

Which ones are the most useful for a WM spammer?

Which ones are better left alone?

WM dosen't really correlate with Alchemy that much, since the skills are more ranged. WM would be a saviour-skill for Alchemy if enemies are too close, but they kinda got rid of that with Wind Blast and such. Plus damage with a Cylinder is crappy.

Frozen Blast is a good Alchemy skill for Melee users though.

I'd say Life Drain is one of the best for a WM Spammer, just looking at the Video in This Post

Good for a quick heal when you don't want to waste those valuable Soul Stones.

Previous post is correct! Life Drain is amazing for healing your lost HP. Be aware though that the enemy can still attack you as you're draining it.

Solution: Rank up the skill. Higher ranks drain more HP in less time.

Once you're done draining, the enemy gets knocked back, so you should be safe then.

Windmill spammer? I would say none.

Water Cannon is basically like an Icebolt with Firebolt-Like damage. Might as well use Icebolt/LB instead.
Wind Blast knocks one enemy far away.
Barrier Spikes is just a wall that blocks enemies, which hinders them from coming close to get Windmilled.
Flame Burst has a long animation time and is not really meant to support Melee.
Sand Burst blinds enemies so they can't attack you, but it does not work on all enemies.
Life Drain can be used during Windmill's spinning animation, however keep in mind that you need a Cylinder equipped to use Alchemy skills.

So basically Alchemy does not coalesce with WM Spamming. Life Drain would be good but then that kills your WM damage by needing to equip a Cylinder.

Let me rephrase the question then. I mean which one would compliment WM spamming. (I have Rank 1 Fireball as well.)

Well, if you put it that way, none I guess. o_O Cylinders do extremely weak damage in melee since they have no melee damage upgrades, most Alchemy skills block WM from working or limit it's potential(Barrier Spikes, Life Drain), and some skills cover the need for a quick knockback(Wind Blast). However, your Fireball can be used with Mana Crysalization to make Rank 1 Fireball Crystals that are probably going to sell for a ton because it stores the Rank 1 Fireball's Power into crystals you can use with Alchemy almost instantly because you don't have to charge forever or use a wand.

Life Drain would be the best one due to it being able to be loaded during Windmill's animation. The other Alchemy skills cannot be loaded in Windmill's animation. Of course you need a Cylinder to be able to do Windmill>Life Drain, and that would kill your Windmill's damage. Real Windmill spammers basically just Spam Windmill.
