Question about food and stat boosts
With the wiki here down for what's been forever and MW's wiki completely lacking any food information besides cooking and recipes, I'm having a hard time finding an answer to this: How exactly do you gain stats from eating food? I know you have to eat a lot of a certain type of food, but how much/how often? I mean, can you just eat 10 meat in 5 minutes and start seeing stat boosts, or is there a more complex method involved? I've been eating a ton of bread and nothing else over the course of about a week, and I haven't seen a single stat increase. x_x

The thing I'm sure about is you shouldn't eat when you're at 100% since it doesn't give any permanent stat boosts. It only makes you fat. I usually wait till I'm at 50% and then eat until I get to 100%. To my knowledge, sharing at campfires works too and helps you eat more. I'm not sure if it's only for the people who shares or all that eats it though. Oh, and the higher your age, the more you have to eat to get the stat boost.

Oh, I didn't know the age thing...I figured eating at 100% wouldn't do anything, but on the other hand, does that mean that even eating a large-recovery food like large meat at 99% hunger would have the same effect as eating it at 50% weight/stat-wise? Or is it more beneficial to wait until you can get the most out of what you're eating when it comes to gaining stats?
Also, something I forgot to ask...do you HAVE to eat just one type of food constantly in order to get any stat bonuses? I heard that eating multiple foods at once cancel each other out in terms of stat boosts. Also, if you gain stats from eating one food for a while then switch to eating another type of food (for weight/figure purposes), will you lose whatever stats you gained from the food? Most of the foods that give decent stats don't leave your body looking too good after a while; I don't like having tree trunks for legs. Dx
Is there any way to get stat boosts from a "fatty" food like cheese/meat but still have a body similar to what a pure bread diet would give? x_x

For the first question... (I didn't quite understand them though) but when you eat for example an apple juice, it'll already give you the added hp,str, and another one i forgot. But when you eat a beefsteak when the effect of the apple juice is still there I think you'll have the beedsteak's effects. Thus canceling the effect of the apple juice on you. It's kind of a waste of food doing this though. So best thing to do is to wait until the effect of one food expires.
As for the second question... if you're gonna eat something like a beefsteak or meaty things (ones that would give you additional weight and make you look fat) don't forget eating berries since they would lower your weight without canceling the effects of the food you just ate. Or you can also drink a couple of apple juice (since it lowers your weight and also gives you decent amount of stats) when the effect of the things you just ate already expired

triumph, qaccy is asking about the PERMANENT stat gains from food, not the temp ones you gain from cooked food...
As far as I know, in order to gain the permanent bonuses, your food % can NOT be 100%. You have to have some hunger to fill up in order to gain the bonus. I believe it's based on % of hunger or # of points gained when you eat that determines how much of a particular food you have to eat in order to gain the stat bonuses. I didn't count, but it took me only a couple breads on Saturday to get a health bonus and it took me TONS AND TONS of berries to get a dex bonus.
I've read that you're supposed to constantly eat that particular food until you get the bonus, but once you get the bonus, it doesn't go away (until/unless you rebirth) so you can switch to another food if you want. So just put up with your thunder thighs until you're done with gaining int or whatever from cheese and then you can eat bread/berries afterwards to get rid of the fat thighs.

Yes, certain foods permanently take away some stats. For example, if I remember correctly, strawberries TAKE AWAY strength and stamina but adds dex and int. Potatoes add strength but take away int and mana. Apples take away Will but adds dex, etc...
That's probably why I stay on either a bread, milk, berry, cheese, or large/slice of meat diet. Those are safe foods, without any stat loss.

basically, choose a food that gives the most stat of what you want and most of all never eat a piece of food that will get you above 100% hunger, so find out how much the food charges for you, currently berries charge 5% hunger so i never eat at say 95+ hunger, that way you get max benefits and dont waste your time.
My proof XP. Oh yeah and rebirthing wipes out ALL perm stats gained by food....
P.S. Usually i wipe out my lvl in screen shots but lvl doesnt rlly matter in mabi ^^ thats the beauty of it~
