First off, I'm not remotely homophobic or prejudice, but I understand why companies don't offer same-sex marriage in their games. *shrug* Some of Canada and the US may be okay with it and have it legalised, but according to its own citizens, Korea is still 3rd world/2nd world and very anti-homosexual. That being the case, in the KR, JP, et cetera Mabinogi, there is no same-sex marriage because most people DON'T want it. Just because some of North America is more open-minded and such doesn't mean the rest of the world is. :/ Nexon doesn't even consider to implement it because it's such a taboo in Korea.

Are you positive that is the case? I always thought of thoese countries to be much more open about the whole thing.

I tutor Koreans everyday and my boyfriend actually taught in Japan for four years so we've had some very interesting conversations on the topics. Yes, I'm quite sure. A lot of people get the wrong impression because of the yaoi that pours out of Japan... But there's gay pornography that's being made in the United States and only about 1/4 of the country is indifferent or pro-homosexual. o_O

That's a good point, but the question is. Why won't Nexon of NA impliment it. Or any other company that has a base in NA for that matter. It's not like they don't have any programmers.

I've been in multiple petitions for many games for same sex marriages and only one really decided to consider it and that was Seal Online, most wouldn't even consider it and just turned the petition away with no explanation.

Well, we're just a pocket of people who are tolerant. *shrug* Think of how many people are going to be playing NA Mabinogi and how much hullabaloo will be raised... I think they just believe it's easier to not include it rather than face most of their clientele creating a big stink.

Online petitions do very little. I've NEVER seen one be taken seriously. :/
