I started a few days ago and i suck at combat. I tried ciar beginner dungeon and got my ass handed to me my the archers on the 2nd floor.
I can seem to fight effectively. my character does that swing the sword around thing and the enemy just starts pounding away and before i knew it i lost 20hp.

I got used to defending after doing a combo but i get hit by the enemy's chain and get owned.

Also, i can't seem to heal hp pass 38/77 using potions.

Anyone have advice for improving my craptastic combat?

The most basic melee combo is: Start with smash or a melee combo (2 or 3 hits depending on the weapon), Defense, Counter, melee combo, Defense, Counter... etc.

And you can't heal past a certain number of HP because of wounds caused by enemies, wounds can only be healed at a healer NPC or by using bandages.

u character has wounds and u need to use badaids to fix the 38/77 thing. and you counter attack or magic counters and the archers just walk around with defense skill and stay close to the archer that i attacking you.

Archers really suck. I get owned by them when I get bad lag. >_<

The best thing to do is run at them when they're not looking and do the n+1 combo as fast as possible. If they notice you, (better have a shield) put up a mean defense, get as close as you can as they're setting up the range skill. When they hit u and you manage to defend it - run at them like mad and attack, i mean n+1 at them again.
