How do I fight a Ogre Warrior effectively?

It seems immune to magic.

Using hit and run tactics doesn't seem to work because it moves faster than you.

Melee hits is suicide since it can kill you with one hit with its hammer.

Treat as a regular Ogre. If you do not have firebolt, Windmill > Counter > Windmill or Windmill > Windmill work well with a slow weapon. They like going roundabout routes, so you should be okay unless you lag. Be sure to have enough space to walk away when it's going to pound (when it does this, you can use Counter after it hits the ground to save some stamina). You can add in the occasional Smash when it goes into Defense then go back into the defensive loop.

Smashmill also works for them, but be careful that you don't do it in its circle when it's in a corner.

Yep, Fire counter is the best for 1 on 1. Paul posted the link from my old thread, there's a lot of different strategies there, but I'd still recommend fire counter as ogres seem to be easier to kill when your 1 on 1. Good luck by the way!

im sorry to say, thats a horrible idea, Counter doesnt fully activate after a windmill. If you have r9 or higher WM, you can just spam WM and hope it doesnt run up and stomp/smash its hammer.

Anyways, get Firebolt, all players should have at least Fire and Ice Bolt.

After a knockback, Ogres tend to run something like this: ")" which gives you enough time to squeeze in the Counter before it gets to you. Running back a bit before casting it is optional, but may be safer if you don't dawdle. Rank 9 Windmill isn't required to Windmill spam, you just have less time to freely move around between usages.

Countering and Wm spamming is useless imo, it'll just pound you to oblivion =.=

If you have Nagle disabled, id recommend Fire then Ice then Counter, thats the only method i use for Ogre Warriors. Doesn't matter what rank Ice/Fire/Counter, ive done it on a friends account with all rF skills.
