Default Concerning Final hit

Since my Windmill is Rank 5, finally, I could now focus on minor skills that could help me out. I could Raise Combat Mastery to E, because I still need it low, due to future skill's requierements to "Boss" monsters. I'll also be raising Icebolt for easier counter methods.

Now this is when the real plan kicks in. I want to prepare myself for final hit, as soon as I get my smash and crit to Rank 9(or crit, rank 7). The Skill might be coming out at G4, or at least when Dual wield is out. The skill takes a lot of ap, more than any other skill (484 ap max) and it would take me awhile to raise that. I don't know how to really seprate rebirth amounts, or when to rebirth. My I was thinking about getting to my 40s or 50s before each rebirth for maximum ap.

I'm kinda asking for help here, because I want to prepare for a powerful skill.

Or should I wait until "The essential skills" are done with

Well, I suggest getting Combat to B first for Giant enchant, then ranking up Crit a bit higher. If I understand correctly, FA shines in the area of super-mega criticals (esp. when used with daggers).

It really depends on how much NX you allot yourself for rebirthing.

When u look at FH itself... it is a ****ty skill. It just lets u hit a target indefinitely for a given period. It gives u some STR, but it doesn't significantly increase your DMG. In other words, in order to use FH more effectively, you supposed to have strong foundation which can increase your DMG.

WM R1 and Crit R1 are very important. And increase Combat mastery to R5 (i presume you're warrior). Than smash to R5. From that point u can either increase Combat or Smash to R1. Then it is your choice; magic or archer or life skills. Refining and Weaving are also very important skills that give u DEX, which increase ur balance: Melee's ultimate weapon is 222B-Stiff (or goddness)-Spike -Broad Sword. The problem is it has low balance. Thus u need DEX to cover that up.

Remember.... the ultimate character in Mabinogi is Mud-character (magic+melee+archer).

PS: In KR, FH was a big deal b/c the update was more slower so many ppl were already WM R1 and high combat; they looked for skills that gives more STR.

The AP will be easier that you think i believe.. id say 3~5 rebriths... why? cause xploration lvl and ciar adv should be out by then...

ciar adv = easy lv50+ so 50 AP, Exploration = 25 AP and Aging (3 weeks) 14 ap.. so 89 AP or more (maybe less) per rebirth....

Im just getting FH because its really flashy... i mean teleporting and hitting non stop with dual swords!?!? to epic :3

Trust me, I'm not going to Rank up WM to 1! I also made the mistake by not focusing fully. I could have been 2 ranks higher if I payed a lot more attention to it. My plan was to get it to Rank 5 in the first place, I don't need every skill mastered immediately, and windmill wasn't my main focus.

Final hit doesn't add dmg, but teleporting from far range, spamming slash with ja dual wield, that seems cool, but a ton of ap to raise. I agree with you slightly, I'm still raising my Smash and Crit first(Raising Crit first, for more dmg and windmill damage). Leveling is easy. A Rabbie normal run gives me 50-60%, so I can level almost everyday for all I care.


I'm not hoping for "Rank 1 FH", because all that ap could have been useful for other skills, but I'm still thinking about that. Also, it won't be awhile until G4 anyways, I still need my essential combat skills.


But Paul pointed out the coolness of FH. Teleporting like a ninja, slashing the hell out of things nonestop, a cool skill, but more like "the last combat skill I should raise that will help me in the battlefield"

Im only planning on ranking FH to B then maybe 1 to 3 ranks per rebirth

Don't even bother with final hit.
I mean, yeah, get it. Its a good skill.

But don't depend on it like you're going to use it as a main or even a secondary ability.
That cool down is a real killer.

Honestly, I suggest you keep going with windmill.
If not, raise combat mastery and critical to back up the windmill you have.

I was thinking of Ranking it to Between Rank B to 9, but the ap may seem a bit wasteful. Its already a pain trying to acquire the skill(with that thunder strom thing). The cooldown is 5 minutes until rank 7, then its 5 minutes and 30 seconds, then its 4 minutes. I would like to use the skill as a "Thrasher" for some enemies, like bosses. The skill is easier to train than smash, but pver 400 ap, is a bit too much. Still, the skill is versatile, but I would use it on some occasions.

And I guess I'm thinking bout FH too early, maybe, I still haven't raised my other combat skills yet.

The skill is generally used for the following:
1. Golem. He's got high hp and no PD. Good final hit target. Remember to use a sword with more power because of its high defense.
2. Weak Mobs. Example would be a bat + bat + rat room in Rabbie dungeon. If you're really just annoyed and don't want to waste your time chasing them all down, use final hit and just boom through them all.
3. PVP. Because if you can pull it off its GG. Cheap, please don't use it.

With that much AP, I'd go for something more...useful. By the time FH comes out (not sure which Generation or Season) I'm sure you could rank some life skills (for dex possibly), magic bolts, or combat skills (Dual if it's out by then).

With that long of a cooldown timer, seems like FH is pretty much useless in the majority of fights. You'd pretty much only use it on bosses.
