I'd say that Production Mastery is better for a Weaver/Tailor. Every rank gives you a 1% success rate towards completing your clothes or what ever. Every rank will also give you 10 SP so you can weave and tailor longer without having to use pots, eat food, or rest.

But I'm not saying Handicraft is useless for a Weaver. You can make fine or finest, don't know which one, Silk gloves for you to make silk. In the long run, this can probably save you money since you can just make the gloves instead of having to buy them, and they are of higher quality. But still, Production Mastery has more uses to any one who uses Life Skills.

Actually, the gloves are made with tailoring not handicraft.

Really, the only way handicraft would help weaving or tailoring is the dex boosts, so Production Mastery is deifnitly better. That is until houses come out, then the furniture that handicraft makes can be nice. But don't count on getting a house unless you know how to get and keep getting a ton of money. In which case you could probably just buy the furniture from someone else.

Why not get both, Handicraft only takes 1 AP to rank.

But if you really want me to answer your question then I'd say Production Mastery
