You need to buy a license every time you open a shop? Wow, that's expensive...

Not always. Behrinn's license in Tir is 100g. However, it limits your shop to 50k gold. If you need to sell anything more expensive, you'll have to pay for a 3k gold license.

I see, I hadn't realized that licenses in other towns aren't that expensive. Kind of inconvenient that they are limited to the town the license was bought in. Then again, there are a lot of people in Tir. I guess when I start my "traveling" restaurant business, I'll go there often.

Hey Tofucakee, I was wondering how exactly you figure out your prices for your dishes. I know that the total price includes the price for all the ingredients and the work needed to get the certain ingredient. I don't want to rip someone off without them knowing, nonetheless, without me knowing. Also, I would like to know how to correctly determine how much to add in to the total price regarding the work needed to attain the ingredients.
~Thanks,
Hyeon

i looked at original prices from tne mabiworldwiki, and they seemsed to high for our economy, so i cut the prices, so as to be not exspensize but to make some kinda profit. look over my prices and the ones in mabiworld wiki.
beef steak orginal price is 3600 or more, hence beef sells for 1500 in npc, so i figured i could make a profit selling my beef steak for 1800 to 1900 gold.

Yes, I absolutely agree, although, in figuring out prices, I just made up some prices that seemed adequite to me, nothing in my Cafe is over 2k gold, I can make an okay profit off of selling my food (Note: some of my food cannot be made yet, I will tell you if you order something that cant be made, and as well, I have not updated the menu for Bakery goods yet, I will update that menu on the 17th)

Wouldn't sitting for 33 minutes in your school's Sweatshirt while eating soup from a thermos during a critical wind warning in the gym make you look like a hobo?

It's all about supply and demand... Since you have low prices your demand is very high (Hence you always sell out).
So the true market price (where supply and demand are balanced) is going to be quite a bit higher than yours.
The correct price maximizes your profit. Which means having a price that is balanced with the numbers of customers that you get. Both of these variables are linked. If you have a ton of customers and sell out right away, your price is too low; If you have none, your price is too high. With more competition the price (and profit) will always get driven lower.
You shouldn't think of it as ripping people off and you don't always have to feel like you have to give the World's most amazing deal. Your basically trying to balance your needs with the customers.
This is how real life companies decide on pricing (There's lots of math involved), it's called Economics.
