Anybody read it? Comments?
The WORST book I've ever read. I have no idea what the book talked about when I first read it (neither did the rest of my class), and when I finally understood it via SparkNotes, it...basically had no meaning or valuable moral to me. It basically involved random events of a little paranoid kid thinking there's magic in the town and he can control it. The rest are stories about townsfolks, some of them having nothing to do with the plotline.
Especially when I read the part where the old woman was forced to admit that she was never young and never pretty and gets all her childhood toys snatched away from evil neighborhood children, it just makes me want to tear this book into pieces and curse at it.
I feel sorry for anyone who is forced to read it in their Language Arts class.

Even the encyclopedias are more interesting than this book.
