Urban Dictionary: noob

On the internet, n00bs make their colonies on forums. They migrate in waves, usually on weekends, and proceed to clog up bandwidth with stupid questions and sometimes even stupid answers. If you happen to be unfortunate enough to be on a board large enough to attract migrating noobs, there will hopefully be authority in charge who is smart enough to take extermination measures before they can make nests and larger colonies.

Noobs follow a variation of the 1337 (sometimes 7331) religion, in which they worship the number in odd rituals and put altars in their forum avatars and signatures. They often call themselves 1337, which experts say is somewhat like calling themselves godly in a human language. It's best to not interfere with their religious fantasies and practices because that can lead to a noob uprising, which can turn a forum to mush in less than a week.

Since noobs are basically ignorant bastards, they have a lot in common.

i also hate it when another noobs (compaired to your own experiance) starts calling other noobs a noob, i usually take great pleasure in telling them they are one them selves

Well....Those definitions aren't exactly written by anyone sensible. In fact the third and fourth ones sounds more angry than meaningful. And the second definition is a smart mouthed fancy critique of what he falsely believes what a noob really is. Even though it's a funny gag

A better meaning of the word noob is slang for a player that is new to a certain franchise and asks more questions than he should, like the first definition. They are nothing more than players who don't seem to get most of the etiquette that more pro players use, which results in those older players to be utterly mad and start calling them that word. In fact "most" of them stop being noobs once they figure out the game and how you should play it for a better experience, and then they are ranked up to where we are, the non-noobs. So basically you would have no right to call them a noob, but when you do call them that regardless, it becomes a "last resort insult", used by fools that find opportunities to cause trouble, and can't say nothing more than "blow me" and "your mama", which is a sadder and more degrading group than the noob. I like to call them, "no-life", only if they use these insults to a great extent than what a normal gamer would, just so they would feel dominant, even if it is only a sad dream.



And so if you were to call this group of people something that isn't just retarded internet slang as the word "noob", you can instead call them, "clueless". Both the words are the same anyway.

That's the true meaning of the word. But even so I'm fine with how the word is used by gamers and trolls and such. You just won't catch me using that word too much .

Edit: And twelve year old kids are in the grounds of being called noob as well, since most of them truely are. So the fourth definition is partially correct.

Though our hatred of noobs goes so far as to beating the frickin' pulp out of them until they cry,and unfortunately it is the internet so they only have talk behind them and their will to keep nagging is infinite and we cant magically find out they live next door where the cops arent patrolling and the door is always unlocked (hehe),we continue to bare with just ignoring them and trying to move on,but unfortunately they are unstoppable and are 76% of the reason people recieve rising blood pressure and lead to the destruction of nearby pillows and other materials,insane cursing on hatred of a noob,and how we want to kick the ****ing pulp out of the noob and make him cry and smack them repeatedly with a chair or a kendo stick and e-RAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH *Can't take not being able to beat the ****ing crap out of those god damn noobs he meets everyday and destroys a nearby pillow with agressive adrenilin*

Sometimes i wish I had my own personal ban hammer to shut noobs up,unfortunately some ingame gms dont share with Pika :<

Note : The middle paragraph is the result of Pika meeting an approx. 12 cocky noobs a day average and Pika can't hold in Pika's anger sometimes and leads to getting extremely mad,talking the noob off,smashing everything he can since the noob is unstoppable,and having the ebil thought of going into real life and slaughtering all noobs.Pika can't control himself over his hated thoughts and extreme hate and anger over noobs of them ruining games and being annoying.

My number one reason to get mad is when im getting annoyed.I *rarely* get mad for other reasons.One time in an old game i played some noobs kept following me because i gave advice (I was getting more and more ticked off the more questions they asked that were stupid) When the next noob asked a question,i finally lost it and said "OMG U ****ING NOOB STFU ALREADY GAWD DAMMIT!" and killed him o.o all the other noobs tried to defend him so i killed them too O.o I think it was in Ghost Online :3 But anyway nothing gets me mad except annoyance,which is the sole defenition of a noob.If i met a noob in real life,you can expect to see them with a bloody nose and ripped up clothing.Maybe add a black eye :3
