Creating a Character

In Mabinogi, a virtual avatar known as a character is controlled. The physical appearance of a character can be changed through a character creation or Rebirthing. The power or abilities of the character depends on what Skills this character obtains after creation. A character can also wield items that can alter the appearance, stats, combat style, or gameplay.

Race

There are three races that roam the world of Erinn. The noble Humans of Uladh, the ferocious Giants of Physis, and the dexterous Elves of Connous.

Gender

Gender affects marriage, along with which clothes your character will be able to wear.

Age

In Mabinogi, every character will age once per week on Samhain (Saturday) at 12:00 PM PST. With aging comes Ability Points as well as boots in various stats. When creating a character, there is a choice to start from 10 years old to 17 years old. Different ages will give different boosts. For example, a character at age 10 will have lower stats than a character at age 17, but the one at age 10 will gain more AP upon aging.

After 25 years old, characters will stop gaining stats and AP upon aging.
